Designers use this trick to make a bathroom feel more expensive – and it can work for a small spaces

As an interior designer, I have a trick that I often use to make a bathroom feel more expensive, and it works equally well in small spaces. The trick is to add a little touch of luxury through the use of high-end materials and finishes.

In a bathroom, adding marble or stone surfaces can immediately elevate the look and feel of the space. Marble countertops, a stone backsplash, or a tiled floor in natural stone all give the room an expensive look. If you’re working with a small bathroom, consider using stone on just one surface, such as the countertop or the floor, to make a statement without overwhelming the space.

Another way to add a touch of luxury is to incorporate metallic finishes, such as brass or gold, into the bathroom design. This can be done through fixtures, hardware, or even decor items like a brass mirror or a gold-framed piece of art.

Lighting is also an important factor in creating a luxurious bathroom feel. Invest in high-quality lighting fixtures, such as wall sconces or a chandelier, to brighten the space and add a touch of glamour.

Finally, consider incorporating statement pieces, such as a freestanding bathtub or a luxurious shower system, to make the bathroom feel more opulent. These items not only add to the aesthetic of the space but also provide a spa-like experience, making it feel more luxurious and indulgent.

By incorporating these elements, you can easily transform a small bathroom into a luxurious and expensive-looking space.
